Planting Our Roots in Olds

As many of you know, we, the Hogarth brood, recently moved south to Olds, Alberta. With this move we have many months ahead of us of temporary living arrangements. Our home in Wainwright is still available to us, so we spend some time there, we live with grandparents (our kids grandparents that is), and hopefully…

Throwing some curve balls…..

Well, this is truly a post I did not think I would be sitting here writing, or at least not this early in my life.  As I sit here, typing, there are about a million things I should be doing to get ready for this massive life change that is about to throw a wrench, good…

Hogarth Life :: School Photos 2015

It has become tradition to hold back to school mini sessions in our backyard every September, and each year after set up is complete I have had my tiny assistant(s) help with testing it out. As I’ve been going through 2015 images to share (long overdue, I know!) I came across my test images from…

In the Blink of an Eye :: My Life

It is no understatement when someone uses the phrase ‘in the blink of an eye’, everything in life seems to pass that quickly, days become hours, weeks become days, and time is gone before you have even ‘blinked’. Nothing is more true for my little family these last few weeks and months, that seem like it…

    I know we will sure miss you guys and especially those adorable little boys! As close as we were geographically, we didn't get to spend the time as neighbors as we would've liked to, but that's how life is – busy. Too busy for the important things – so sad. Best of luck & if you need a sitter or anything else, we're still not that far away; so always keep us in mind, please. Besides, we'll always do a yearly fall photo session for our Christmas cards if nothing else gives us an excuse to get together. ReplyCancel

An Old Soul :: Adriana

I had not written a word of this blog yet….I had a title, my standard “Grad :: Adriana” and that was it, though I knew exactly what I wanted to say, a busy life just got in the way of me putting them down for good. Takes this as a reminder, never let your life get…

    This is a beautiful tribute – because she was just the person you portray. As a parent who also lost a child in an accident, I particularly likes your description of an ‘old soul.’ My sympathy to you, you family and the Rajottes.ReplyCancel

    You don’t know me but I have nothing but respect for way you have written here. Adrianna was the brightest person I knew and had such an influence in me through all of 4H years together. Being friends with all her brothers, I felt I could consider them all family. Thank you for doing this for this amazing young woman.ReplyCancel

    A lovely dedication to this lovely young woman. May all who celebrate her life today remember her as you describe her here – the funny, intelligent and friendly person she was. Condolences to the family and friend who will miss her so much.ReplyCancel

    Though I cannot identify with the pain that you are feeling presently,my heart felt compassion goes out to you as a family at this time! We will never understand why a young vibrant life is snuffed out suddenly,as long as we’re on this side of heaven! I am praying for much strength & courage for you all, as you go through the mourning period! Your situation was brought to my attention by my granddaughter Amanda,who was,as well, touched by Adrianas’ life,in the short time that she knew her!
